Pauline Bowman, 91, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 12:45 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Born March 30, 1924, in Seymour, Indiana, she was the eldest daughter of Homer and Celia (Schrader) Carpenter both of whom preceded her in death. On November 28, 1946, she married Daryl J. Bowman who preceded her in death on August 5, 1991.
Pauline was a sixty-three year member of Reddington Christian Church. She worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory and Jay’s Market. She enjoyed playing euchre, gardening, traveling and interior decorating. She was very proficient as a seamstress and especially enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Reynolds, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jane Reed, Columbus, Indiana. Grandchildren, Meghan (Travis) Neeley, Bryan Reed, Lori (Billy) Mills, and Allan Reynolds; sisters, Imogene Campbell, Carolyn Mahoney, Edna Carpenter and Donna Bottorff.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, brother, Dick Carpenter and infant brother, Donald Carpenter.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Reddington Christian Church, Reddington, Indiana, with Rev. Charlie Aigner officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel from 4 -7 p.m. Friday and after 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Reddington Christian Church, or Donor’s Choice.
