Aden Jones

April 5, 1940 - May 5, 2020

Aden E. Jones, Jr., 80, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownstown to the late Aden Sr. and Vera (Weaver) Jones.
Private funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, May 9 with private burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. A live stream will be available on the Voss Funeral Service Facebook page on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
On December 2, 1961, Aden married Rita Barlow; she survives. He was a member of the National Guard, Eagles and American Legion. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 28 years of service.
Aden is survived by his wife, Rita Jones; children, Natalie (Todd) Fulton, Kevin (Karen) Jones, Gregory (Lisa) Jones; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Jones, Ferrell “Buck” Jones, Ed Jones, Howard Jones; sisters, Sharon Arthur, Cheryl Fields, and Midge Fields as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Harold Jones, David Jones, Vernon Jones and Delores Wheeler.

I remember him cutting up sassafras and putting them in little bundles. He like to putting out small gardens, working in the garage and enjoyed boating. He lived life to the fullest. I'm so thankful to know his family.
