Mrs. Alberta Marie Jones, 74, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Seymour Crossing, with family by her side.

She was born in Seymour, Indiana on May 11, 1946, the daughter of the late Enis Miller and Irene Weinert.

On October 24, 1961, Alberta married the love of her life, Elmer Jones.

Alberta was a member of the Seymour Church of God. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Alberta is survived by her husband of 59 years, Elmer Jones, daughters: Patty Bowman husband Gary, Peggy Carter husband Colby, Belinda Shelton husband Dave, Melissa Amick husband Bill, and Debbie Shaw husband Jeremy, grandchildren: Jeremy, Josh and Amanda Bowman, Melinda Purdy husband Darren, Casey Cockerham wife Heather, Kirtley and Kyle Carter, Courtney Conn husband Todd, Kelly Shelton, Joseph Taylor, Cheyenne Holman, Brittany Bowles husband Jordan, and Chandra Dishman, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister Mary Jane Shelton, brother Jim Miller, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister Audrey Mulberry, brother William “Billy” Miller and 1 great grandchild, Hudson Conn.

Public visitation will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon.

Private funeral services for Alberta will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, followed by a private graveside service at Riverview Cemetery.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 50 people at any given time.
