Ms. Aleen Turner, 86, of Seymour, passed away at Schneck Medical Center on Sunday, November 3, 2019. She was born in Laurel, Indiana to the late Wade and Esther (Banks) Leece.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 6 at 2 pm with Rev. Dan Defriece officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 1 pm until time of service.
Ms. Turner was a member of the General Baptist Church. She retired as a Nurse’s Aide after 30 years of service. She had worked at Beech Grove Healthcare Center for 10 years.
Aleen is survived by her children, Lana (Bob) Gadberry, Harold (Laura)Turner, Charles Turner; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Joyce) Leece, Ronald Leece; sisters, Gloria Dawn Hinkle, Linda Ashmore, Carol Coons as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Earl Leece, Wade Leece, Jr.; sister, Etta Sawder.
Memorials may be written to American Heart Association, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

Alana, There' are so many memories I will alway cherish of your Mother. She was such a special person in my life. When I saw you at the hospital, the Thursday before her passing, I was up the whole night before from a shot reaction, I just got a shot in my good eye a hour before and I just completed pre-surgical testing. I was completely shocked that she was passing, I didn't know what to say. I really sorry for your lost as everyone of her family here on B-Wing. It's hard writing with such tearful sorral.
