Allan Dale Combs

August 22, 1937 - April 11, 2020

Mr. Allan Dale Combs, 82, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born in Seymour to the late George and Ruth (Foist) Combs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with full military rites to honor Allan’s service to our country.
On August 6, 1975, in Davidson, Tennessee, he married Shirley (Weidman) Combs; she preceded him in death on September 14, 2016. Allan served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Stembel destroyer from 1954-1958. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Ricky) Logsdon and Terri (Mike) Schleter, Brad Combs, Brian Combs, Niccole Combs; grandchildren: Jackie (Matt) Magill, Lauren (Chris) Younts, Josh (Whitney) Schleter, Ryan Schleter, Jessie (Spencer) Powell and Amy (Mario Barrientos) Schleter; great-grandchildren: Olivia Magill, Madeline Magill, Uriah Barrientos and Mia Barrientos as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Memorials may be written to VFW or Jackson County Humane Society, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

So sorry to hear this ! Uncle Ally was a man who I felt knew his cousins more than his brothers and sisters since he was the youngest child . I am the oldest niece and am only 11 years younger and , my older brother Larry was only 4 years younger than Uncle Ally.. So they were close buddies when they were growing up .
