Amy Dawn Wilson Siefker, 46 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully Monday, May 16, 2016, at her dream home in Scottsburg.
Amy was born November 10, 1969, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Lonnie Dale Wilson and Sally (Cornett) Beddoe who both preceded her in death.
She married Ben Siefker on July 17, 1999 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, Indiana, and he survives.
Amy was a 1988 graduate of Seymour High School and was most recently employed at Covered Bridge Health Campus managing the medical records as a Qualified Medications Aide. Amy enjoyed time with her family and her dog, Bonzy. Her faith was strong, and she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was active in the formation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scottsburg. She enjoyed learning the word of God. She loved gardening, crafting and arts. She was passionate about the American Cancer Society and helped raise funds through Relay for Life. Amy was such a fighter and was so determined as she fought her own battle with cancer. She has been such an inspiration to all.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters; Myka Hays (fiancé, Mitch Wetzel) and Emerald Hays (fiancé, Kody Kamman); and two grandchildren, Remi and Ryan Wetzel, all of Seymour. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Other survivors include a brother, Devin Wilson (fiancé, Missie Estes), several stepbrothers & stepsisters, her stepfather, Michael Beddoe, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Lonnie Dale Wilson and Sally Wilson-Beddoe, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm and at Redeemer Lutheran Church after 9:30 am until time of service.
Memorial checks may be written to Redeemer Lutheran Church Mortgage Reduction Fund or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Scottsburg.
