Andrew C. Moutoux, Jr., most know as “Chuck”, age 86, of Seymour, IN, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, IN.
Andrew was born on December 2, 1935, in Evansville, IN to Andrew C. Moutoux, Sr. and Flora Moutoux. He graduated from Mater Dei West High School in 1953. Chuck joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1953 to 1961. He earned a B.S. degree from San Jose state in 1962, and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University in 1975. He had a long career working as a civil servant for several military branches finally settling with the Air Force’s Strategic Air Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He retired there in 1990. His last big assignment was serving as Deputy Director of Logistics for the B-2 bomber program.
Survivors include his children, Andrew C. Moutoux, III (Denise) of Orlando, FL, Mike Moutox (Emily) of New Mexico, Catherine Elstun (Tim) of Osgood, IN and Christine Miller of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Marc Moutoux, Tina Moutoux, Jack Moutoux (Ashley), LeVon Terry, Willie “TJ” Terry, Thomas Roseman and Andrew Roseman; six great grandchildren, Harley, Griffin, Bentley and Brooks Moutoux and Noah and Jude Terry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour on Saturday, April 9, at 11AM. The family will receive guests at the church from 10AM until the time of service. Burial and military honors will take place on Monday, April 11 at 11:30AM at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
