Angela Renae Tungate-Wheeler

January 16, 1975 - September 6, 2024

Angela Renae Tungate-Wheeler, 49, of Brownstown passed away on September 6, 2024, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. Angela was born on January 16, 1975, in Greensburg to William and Helena (Young) Tungate. She was a graduate of Jennings County High School. Her family wanted everyone to know that Angela was a good cook, a shopaholic, and a lover of music. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with and take care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

Angela is survived by her husband, Shawn Wheeler, son, Jacob Ritchie, daughters: Ashlee Tungate, KyLee Swindall, and Kaylee Roberts; father, William Tungate, Sr.; brother, William (Betty) Tungate, Jr.; sister, Kim (Bill) LaFollette; grandchildren: Kollyn, Kyliee, Alayigha, Shelby and Ashton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helena Woodson-Layman; stepfather, Gary “Toad” Woodson and sister, Tonia Johnson.

I remember sweet little Angie coming to my house after school with my daughter Jennifer. I remember their first time on bus from Redding School they got bussed to country and back because they missed their stop. Angie's mom and I were terrified.
