Audrey Ann Brown of Seymour passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born at Bowen, Kentucky on March 11, 1935 to Walter and Gola (Rogers) Wilson. On December 22, 1955 she married Boyd Lee Brown in Washington County, Indiana. They moved to Seymour in February of 1964. He preceded her in death on Thursday, June 19, 2014.

Funeral services will be conducted at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, December 31, at 10:00 AM with her Brother-in-Law Don Demas officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2:00 till 5:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and recently a member of Central Christian Church. Audrey was a Seymour Community Schools Elementary teacher teaching at Cortland, Jackson, and Redding Schools. She was a member of the Retired Teacher Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teacher Association.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Moon (Dale), Son-in-Law Neal Comstock, and Pam McIntire (Dave). Grandchildren Andrea Arms (Ryan), Cody Moon, Ashley Wilson (Ethan), Bill McIntire (Ally) and Chris McIntire (Mallory). Great Grandchildren Paxton and Elliot Arms, and Tucker McIntire. Sister, Carolyn Demas (Don), and brother Walter Wilson (Carol), Brother-in Law Jess Reid, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sherry Comstock, and sisters, Imogene Wesner and Lalia Reed.

Memorials may be written to Central Christian Church or Lutheran Community Home, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

Sincere condolences to Mrs. Brown's Loved Ones. She was my 5th grade teacher at Jackson Elementary 1978. I remember her fondly. She had genuine kindness and compassion for all and she affectionately called every child in her classroom "honey child" ~ A life well lived.

To Cindy and Pam, and the Brown family, Your mom was the best neighbor mom we could have ever wished for. She took us seriously and respectful as kids, like when we worked on our summer fair. She always greeted us with a genuine smile and positive attitude. We wish you peace in your loss.

We Roemmels always felt lucky to have the Browns as neighbors. Whenever I think of Audrey I see her sweet smile & hear her lovely voice. I’m sorry for your loss Cindy & Pam. Your mom was a lovely person.

Dear Family, May the memories you have of Audrey keep your soul full and the love that surrounds you help your heart to heal. You can clearly see Audrey had a passion for life and she had that priority for living which always involved those she deeply loved.
