Mr. Benjamin, “Ben” R. Shell, 38, of Seymour, passed away on September 23, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1980 to Tina Gater Shell Collins and Craig Collins. He was married to Lesley Janine Knox on October 15, 2011 in Vevay, and she survives.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 27, at 11:30 AM at Voss Chapel with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
Ben worked at Schneck Medical Center for the last 5 years as a surgical tech. He was a graduate of Seymour High School in 1998 and then Ivy Tech with a surgical tech degree.
He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed golfing, he loved IU basketball, Notre Dame football, Indy cars, especially Ed Carpenter, the Texas Longhorns, and the Chicago Cubs to name a few.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, a son, Chayse Benjamin Shell, sisters, Samantha Shell, Jessie Gerkin, and Pam Cash, and a brother-in-law, Kevan Knox.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father-in-law, and a step-sister.
