Dear Family, My sincere condolences to the entire family during this time of Mr. Emkes passing. I know how you all became the loving people you are by having him and your Mother as parents. I remember he would always come to the Lutheran Church Fall Festival showing up about the same time as I and Jim did. I just noticed this as I was tagging Joan in a "Memory past event on FB". Your parents raised very strong individuals, Stay Well! Pamela Meadows

Mr. and Mrs. Emkes always made me and all the friends from Immanuel Lutheran School so welcome in their home. Those are some of the best memories from my youth. From the Borges family, thank you to the entire Emkes family, and may God bless you all with understanding and strength.

We extend our condolences to the Emkes family as you all face his passing. He was so active in the Seymour community and Jackson County. He served the Lord in so many ways at his church, the Lutheran Schools and took a great interest in the Lutheran Community Home. Becky and I enjoyed our connection with Ben and Orpha thorough his envolement in the Lutheran Men’s Chorus. Ben and Orpha raised a wonderful family which was a source of great pride. We have been in Florida since Christmas time and will be returning to Seymour soon. Sorry we cannot be the for Ben’s services. Joe and Becky Joiner

Janet and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Ben. I enjoyed serving with him on the Zion Foundation years about and found him to be a very thoughtful and passionate person regarding anything where serving the Lord was involved. I have the utmost respect for Ben and extend sincere sympathy to his family and all who knew him as the loyal friend he was to many. Gary Myers
