Beth Ann Martin, 55, of Columbus, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at home. She was born in Seymour to Betty Jo and the late Richard Martin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Beth Ann was raised in Long Beach, California. She loved being a mom and enjoyed dancing and doing crafts. She had a great personality and was fun to be around.
Beth Ann is survived by her son, Joseph Villella; Mother Betty Jo Stoops; Stepfather Gary Stoops; Brother Todd Martin; Sister Debra Ghiloni; and companion Richard Lasek.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Martin.

It was joeys birthday party, I remember it was really hit that day. the fridge was packed with watermelon, drinks, treats, ice cream . We took all the kids out (can’t remember where?) and when we came back for cake and ice cream, I could see what looked like water by the fridge. Beth opened the fridge, the watermelon looked like it was sucked inward, the ice cream was soup in the freezer, all the drinks were hot. Apparently not only did the fridge break but it appeared it was actually hotter in the fridge than in the house . We had all these hot kids and no cold drinks and melted cake! We made due but was an unwelcome surprise?
