Billy J. Cole, 80, of Seymour passed away at home on November 2, 2019. He was born in Surprise, Indiana to the late Harrison John and Eva (Dietz) Cole.

Funeral service will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at 1pm with Rev. Steve Greene officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Billy was a graduate of Cortland High School and worked for Amoco-Silgan for over 40 years. Billy married Beverly Ferry on August 11, 1961 at Seymour Christian Church.

Billy was an Honorary Lifetime member of SIMRA. He enjoyed playing games on the computer, word search puzzles, fishing, hunting, wood carving, photography and being with his friends at the monthly model train meetings. He loved cats and dogs. He loved being in nature and loved to watch his bird and squirrel feeders. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews, were his heartbeat for life after retirement. While playing with the kids, they would always ask him to put them up high due to his height.

Billy is survived by his wife; children, Robin (Ted) Clark and Kevin (Maria) Cole; grandchildren, Janissa Cole (Ben Taylor), Jordan Cole, Eva (John) Bateman; great-grandchildren, Harrison Taylor, Liam Taylor, Jack Bateman, Clark Bateman; sister, Sharon Borden as well as several nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet “Sue” Williams.
