Sue and Mark John left a message on November 28, 2017:
Dearest Rex and family: Your wife (Mother) was a beautiful woman! She will be remembered for her kindness, her warm and welcoming smile and her APPLE DUMPLING COBBLER. Bonnie brought over a casserole dish of the scumptilicious apple dumpling cobbler and I ate the same myself (Sue)- I did not share. Mark and I consider ourselves so very fortunate to have had the privilege of being her neighbor. We always said we could never move as long as your residency was two doors down the road. Well, Bonnie's smile and love is penetrating through the clouds upon the hundreds of those lives she so richly touched, and I believe there is no coincidence that Mark and I are in the process of getting our home ready to sell. We got the best of the neighborhood, because you were our neighbor. We hold some great memories, and will keep them close at heart. Bonnie also raised five wonderful, thoughtful, loving, community driven children........ what a legacy. Hugs to all, she will be sorely missed. However, we are comforted and happy to know she is with her maker, whom she emulated so gracefully while here with all those she touched.

I’ll always remember her using apples from my dad’s apple tree to make applesauce! I couldn’t wait for her to share it with us; it was always delicious! She even shared her recipe with me. What a wonderful woman! Prayers to the family. May all your memories carry you through this difficult time. Sarah Erp McKenzie
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Rex, Dave, Rexanne, Joe, Sara and Brian, I was so sorry to hear that Bonnie passed away. I have soooo many good and wonderful memories of your mother in my childhood on the street of W. Harrison Drive and beyond. Bonnie was such a warm and kind person and a true friend to my mom. She will surely be missed. You all are blessed to have all your memories of Bonnie and I hope you all are comforted by those times with her. A warm and huge hug for all! --Angie Rodriguez (Hill)

Please accept heartfelt condolences from Jane and me. Losing a parent severs a link with your childhood, and that hurts, regardless of how old you may be when it happens. May God grant you and all your family the strength to get through this troubling time. So sorry we cannot be there in person. Dan and Jane Shirley
