Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, September 27 at 10:30 am with Revs. Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday from 4-8 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of service.

She was a graduate of Brownstown High School, class of 1963. On October 25, 1964, at Brownstown United Methodist Church, she married David S. Baxter, Jr.; he survives. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and spending time with her grandchildren and supporting them in their sporting events. She was a Guild volunteer at Schneck Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband; children, Robin Carpenter, Rachel (Paul) Nay; grandchildren, Alison (Mark) Maxie, Jackson “JP” Nay, Madelyn “Maddie” Nay; great-grandchildren, Carter Maxie, Colt Maxie; siblings, Gerald G. (Phyllis) Bell, Shelia J. Brewer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Billie Jo Bell, Becky L. Bell; nephew, Andrew Baxter; brother-in-law, Ralph “Butch” Baxter; sister-in-law, Bonnie Sue Baxter Waskom.

Memorials may be written to Education Fund for grandchildren or Redeemer Lutheran Church, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

I did not see Bonnie often, but I will miss running into her occasionally and catching up on what had been happening in each other's lives. I will always remember her with a smile. May she RIP and her family has the strength to go on without her. Carolyn Robison

Robin, Rachel, and Mr. Baxter, Robyn and I are so sorry for your loss. I always loved getting to visit with Mrs. Baxter at auction or yard sales. I've known you girls and your mother since we were kids at Redding school. What a wonderful person. She was always full of positive energy. I always loved her Mom hugs and getting to visit. Please know Robyn and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

There are so many great memories, camping campfire meals games and dances. So many fun times with lots of laughter.
