Bryan Skinner, 69, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bryan was born in 1951 in Chula Vista, California to the late Harold Roy “Hal” and Virginia Hense Skinner. He loved his country and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bryan retired from Toyota Material Handling in Walesboro after many years of service. Bryan had many hobbies and they included fishing, karate, watching the history and military channels, reading books by his favorite author, Clyde Kessler, and loved cheering on the Oregon Ducks Football Team.
On May 23, 1975, he married Donna Jean Williams at Reddington Christian Church.
He is survived by his children: Kristina Dian White, Lori Ann (Chris) Knotts, Gary Skinner (Jessica) and Karrie Michele Bevers (Carl D.), grandchildren Karlie (Joseph) Fields, Lester K., Devan, Isabell, Jasmine, Cameron, Marissa, Jaden, Dakota, Jordan and Peyton; three great grandchildren, Oliver Lee Cunningham, Adalynn Brown, and Alice Jean “AJ” Fields; brothers, Leonard Skinner, Mike (Susan) Skinner, and Ron Skinner; sisters, Vonnie (Charlie) Jurin, Michele Raven, Marilyn (Wayne) Bowman; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 39 years, Donna Jean, nephews Gary Dean Gower and George Grant, sister in laws, Alene and Sharon Skinner, brothers-in-law, William “Bill” Gower and Patrick Williams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 4-8pm at Voss & Sons Funeral Service and on Friday, June 18, after 9am at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Funeral service will be at 10am at Redeemer Lutheran Church Friday, June 18, 2021, conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW, American Legion Post, Disabled Veterans, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Columbus.
Memorial gifts may be designated to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Expansion Fund.
