



















































































































Carey Dale Ruwe, 51, of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 9, 2020 in Miami, Florida. He was born in Seymour to Don Ruwe and Marlene Thompson Ruwe. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Kovener Ruwe, on October 8, 1994.
Carey was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a Blow Molding Department Manager at Silgan. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing baseball. His granddaughter, Zaylah, was the joy of his life. He loved spending time with his family and laying on the beach with his beautiful wife and listening to the ocean.
Carey was the owner of Crate Late Model #422 which was driven by his son-in-law. He loved dirt track racing and spent endless nights in the garage getting the car ready. The car was an IN Pro Late Model Series and raced in Brownstown and Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon.
Carey is survived by his parents; loving wife of 26 years; children, Natasha Crum and her husband Chase, Destiny Schryer and her husband Caleb; granddaughter, Zaylah Schryer; and sister, Lynn Ruwe Robbins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Mary Freeman; paternal grandparents, Eldor “Doc” Ruwe and Erna Marie Ruwe Rittman; mother-in-law, Delores Benson; and aunt, Tonja Blish Freeman.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, October 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until time of service.
Funeral services for Carey will be conducted at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, October 16 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
