Mrs. Carol F. Tormoehlen, 79, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in Ogden, Utah on December 21, 1938 to the late Harold and Emma (Lee) Bass. She graduated from Ogden High School, class of 1957. On December 25, 1957, she married Norris Tormoehlen, he survives. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She had retired from JayC warehouse where she was a member of the Auditing Department. She enjoyed reading and sewing, but she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending family gatherings.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, February 3 at 11 am with Revs. Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4-8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until time of service.
Memorials may be written to Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Norris Tormoehlen; children, Cynthia (Robert) Toppe, Christopher (Terri) Tormoehlen, William (Cindy) Tormoehlen, and Craig (Patty) Tormoehlen; grandchildren, Christopher Tormoehlen, Jr., Crystal (Chris Stice) Tormoehlen, Heather (Chris) Brott, Kody (Kim) Tormoehlen, Marc Tormoehlen, Paige Tormoehlen, Danna Templeton, Matt Templeton, Jim (Ashley) Templeton, Nick Toppe and Alex Toppe; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, David Bass; sisters, Kay East and Lynn Schmidt; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Woodrow) Turner; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lewis Bass; and sister, Donna Anderson.

I remember being introduced to Carol very soon after I met lewis. She was visiting her parents and we had just started dating. I was impressed by her gentleness and kindness and how quickly she made me feel welcome. Over the years she remained the same whenever I had the chance to see her. Lewie always laughed about their both having December birthdays so close to Christmas. I'm certain they are enjoying a wonderful time together now.
