Carolyn Sue Tungeitt

October 13, 1952 - January 22, 2017

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Tungeitt, 64 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away in Columbus at Columbus Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 2017.

Family and friends may visit at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Voss Chapel, with Rev. Mike Patton, Officiating.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Carolyn was born in Seymour on October 13, 1952, the daughter of the late Theodore and Myrtle (White) Gorbett.

She went to work for Valeo Sylvania, in Seymour, where she retired after 32 years of service. After retirement Carolyn need something to do, so she went to work for Circle K and enjoyed everyday, being with people. She loved her grandchildren, playing bingo, going to the boat in French Lick, and her dogs.

On October 16, 1970, she married Sam Tungeitt, in Seymour.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Sam, 2 children: Pamela (Dennis) Smith, and William Tungeitt, 3 grandchildren: Dennis Smith, Brittney (Brandon) Vetter and Dillan Smith, 3 brothers: Charles, Roger and David Gorbett, sister: Janice McCleary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Landon Tungeitt.

Memorial checks may be written to the American Heart Association through Voss & Sons Funeral and Crematory Service, Seymour, Indiana.

To: Sam, Charles, Janice, Roger and David Eugene: Carolyn was a sweet neighbor, next door, in the big Victorian home, when we were growing up on S. Chestnut St. Always the lively, full-of-energy and fun person to be around. She was like a little sister to me. Later on in life, I remember her and Sam coming to every garage sale I had. She never changed her friendly personality. I wish I could have attended Carolyn's funeral; but, since I couldn't, I still hold many fond memories of Carolyn and all of you, and your adorable dog, Charlie Brown.
