Funeral Services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, May 23 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Blomenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. On July 27, 1972 at Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Cathy married the love of her life Benny L. Hammond; he survives.

Cathy is survived by her beloved, husband of 46 years; children, Benny Hammond Jr, and Sara Jo Marie (Jason) Anderson; brothers, Edwin and Larry Byers; sister, Terri Quinn; brother and sister in-laws, Steve (Joan) Coxs and Jenny (Juan) Galvan; grandchildren, Ethan Dale and Maggie Mae Anderson; nieces, Kimmy (Chris) Clegg, Missy White, and Samantha Quinn

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Coady Russell Hammond, and grandparents.

Its good to see that Cathy lived a wonderful life with her beautiful children and husband. I lost track of Cathy after we both got married and I moved away. Cathy and I road Herb Trumps school bus back in the day Bus 1. Oh the times we had in school. Sorry for your lost. Diane Zumhingst-Scott
