Charles Ray Bannister, 62 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.
Charles was born in Austin, Indiana, on July 30, 1952, the son of the late Charles E. Bannister and Iris A. Hooker Begley who survives.
Charles was a retired truck driver who was a very active member of the Moose Lodge 418, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion, and VFW all of Seymour, Indiana.
Charles is survived by his children, Jennifer Bannister, Jeffrey Bannister, April Bannister, Charles R. Bannister Jr., Amber Spillman, and Iris Bannister; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Steve Bannister and Eric Bannister; three sisters, Brenda Chandler, Trixie Witt, and Terry Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles E. Bannister and a nephew, Mark Chandler.
Services will be held at Voss Chapel on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Mark Wooten officiating.
Burial will follow at Crothersville Cemetery.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday after 9:30 until time of service. There will be a Moose Lodge Service Friday at 5:00 p.m.
