Clarence E. Durham, 86 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
He was born January 30, 1930, in Rushville, Indiana, the son of the late Emil “Sop” and Ida Mae (Parker) Durham.
He married Edith Marie Huddleston in 1958 in Seymour, Indiana, and she survives.
Clarence was a member of Easyville Pentecostal Church. He served in the US Navy and worked as a warehouse foreman at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. He enjoyed going to Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge as often as possible where he enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He loved going to church. He drove the church bus for 22 years. He loved his family and life; he was always happy and jolly! Heaven gained a jewel.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, his children, Terri Joe Foster, Don Huddleston and Debbie Terrell; four grandchildren, Chad, Michele, Jason and Danny; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Maryka, Ty and Luke; one brother, Bowen “Junior” Durham; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Wentiford Durham, Ralph Durham, Howard Durham, Thomas Durham and Frank Durham; and three sisters, Helen Durham, Gladys Engelking and Francis “Buke” O’Sullivan.
Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2016, at 10:00 am with Sister Jean Pogue officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and Friday after 9:00 am until time of service.
