Mrs. Connie (Shippee) Roney, 69, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born on June 20, 1949, in Campsbellsville, Kentucky to the late Robert and Patsy (Gibson) Shippee.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, September 17 from 10 am until 1 pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.
She was attending Seymour Christian Church. She was an LPN at Jackson Park Convalescent Home. She enjoyed writing children’s books and taking care of elder people.
She is survived by children, Monica (Darin) Kriete, Wendy (Glenn Jr.) Meek, Andrew (Stephanie) Maschino, Sherry McCory and Brian Roney; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert “Bud” (Deb) Shippee; and sister, Shirley (Perry) Knecht.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garry Roney; and sister, Bonnie Findley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to Voss & Sons Funeral Service to be designated at a later date.
