Mrs. Connie Sue Smith Ashmore, 77, of Nashville, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born in Columbus to the late Fairmont “Mont” and Mariam “Mae” (Clupper) Smith.
A graveside service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 16 at Crouch Cemetery, Nashville, at 11 am.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday, July 14 from 2-4 pm.
On November 16, 1960, in Texas, she married James Leonard Ashmore; he preceded her in death on November 10, 2002.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Lou Ann (Randy) Lucas; sons, Jeff (Tina) Ashmore and Jimmy (Michelle) Ashmore; grandchildren, Andy, J.T., Heather, Casey, Kyle, Travis, Mattie and Joe; sister, Bonnie (Thurman) Miller; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Bea) Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Goldie Mae Walls.
