Craig Allen Elsner, 36, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on August 20, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1986, in Columbus, Indiana to Jeffrey and Darla Elsner.

Craig attended Peter’s Switch Church of Nazarene. He graduated from IU with his bachelor’s degree in Business and spent five years in the Navy on a submarine. Craig worked at Aisin Chemical Division in Crothersville, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, woodworking and playing on his guitar.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Darla Elsner; his grandparents, Bob and Berta Baker; one sister, Kelly Elsner; and his aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Joan Elsner.

Private services are being handled by the caring staff of Voss and Sons Funeral Service.

Family request memorial contributions be made to Peter’s Switch Church of Nazarene, 9528 N County Road 760 E, Seymour, Indiana 47274.

Jeff…Lisa called me and told me that she had seen your son’s obituary in the newspaper. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was the same age as my daughter Samantha. I will be praying for you and your family. Once again, my deepest condolences.

Craig, It was privilege to be on the Albuquerque with you. You and Josh knew how to bring joy to the crew, even on the worst of days. My heart is heavy today hearing the news of your passing. ‘Til Valhalla my friend.

My heart goes out to to the family of such a good man. He earned my respect and trust when we sailed together. I am proud that I can count him amongst those that I call my brothers. Rest easy brother, we have the oars.

We were business acquaintances with Craig and corresponded with him no less than 3-4 times a week. He was one of our absolute favorite people to work with. He was always kind, cordial and always made sure to wish us a great day. Our employees who were also in contact with Craig are also very saddened.
