Dalton Morgan, age 84, of Morgantown, Indiana passed away on April 1, 2020. Dalton was the son of Hobert Morgan and Ella Morgan (Mosley) of Hyden, Kentucky. Dalton went to Stinnitt Settlement School, but only until the second grade, he then entered the workforce. Dalton was a logger since he was eight years old. He later owned his own company, Morgan Logging, and had his sons, grandsons. and other family work for him.
Dalton enjoyed four wheeling in Kentucky with his family, taking joy rides while listening to Elvis, being around his family, and spending time in the woods with his grandson, LP, while logging.
Dalton was a very giving person. He always had a garden, and he always gave the harvest from the garden to others. His favorite holiday was Easter because he loved being surrounded by family, Sunday church, and fresh Spring air.
He attended church at Faith Full Gospel in Morgantown, Indiana. Dalton was a part of the church since it was founded 20 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Ella, his wife Betty Anne Morgan (Hacker), his siblings, Dean Morgan, Hoberta Hall, Leda Gail Hall, Chuckie Dale Morgan, and Brenda Kay Begley. Dalton was also preceded in death by his son John F. Morgan, his grandson Anthony “Billy” William Breeden II, and his granddaughter Joni “Renee” Morgan.
He is survived by his siblings Shirley Hoskins, Evelyn Smith, Thadus Morgan, Beanna Smith, Mildred Asher, Darlene Vance, and Deborah “Debbie”Lynn Rinker. Dalton is also survived by his children Sherry (Kenny Ray) Sanders, Crystal (Anthony) Breeden, James Dalton (Yvonna) Morgan, Victoria Morgan-Miller (Michael) Miller.
The family gathered together for a small, personal viewing at Faith Full Gospel on Monday, April 6, 2020. The funeral was held at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, Indiana later that same day. The family is not asking for flowers or cards, but rather a donation be put toward his funeral.

There will be a memorial service this summer. Details for the memorial are still being worked out, the family invites everyone to come celebrate his life and will be in contact at a closer date.
