Mr. Danny Ray Davis, 72, of Seymour, passed away peacefully Monday, September 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Evansville to the late Jack and Flora (Norman) Davis.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, October 4 from 2-7 pm. A flag and taps presentation will be held at 7 pm to honor Danny’s years of service and dedication to our country. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
He was a graduate of North High School, class of 1964. Following graduation, he served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. Danny was a master craftsman in the carpentry industry. He had a passion for fishing, golfing and enjoyed dancing.
Danny is survived by his wife, Karen (Barger) Davis; children, Dana (Davis) Boyle, Greg Davis and Jamie (Davis) Carlson; stepchildren, Toby Allen and Traci Combs. Danny was the second oldest of nine children. He was an amazing grandfather to several grandchildren.
Memorials may be written to Kindred Hospice or Jackson County Humane Society, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
