Danny Sloan, 72, of Seymour, passed away on February 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in 1948 to the late Dale Sloan and Evelyn (White) Sloan who survives in Marengo, Indiana. He graduated from Marengo High School and Oakland City College with an Associates Degree in General Studies.
Danny chose a career serving his country in the military at Camp Atterbury, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was also a member of the Seymour Christian Church. He was on the City Council for many years, member of the Planning and Zoning Comission, and Seymour Housing Authority. Danny loved spending time with his grandchildren, serving others in the community, watching his grandson play baseball and gardening.
On June 1, 1969 in Marengo, IN he married the love of his life Suzanne L. Key. She preceded him in death in 2014.
He is survived by his children; Angie (Curtis) Klakamp and Erin (Eric) Darlage; grandchildren; Sophie Klakamp, Aiden Darlage, and Leigha (Daniel) Charles; great grandchildren; Benjamin Thompson and Archer Charles. He is also survived by his mother Evelyn, brother Gil (Michelle) Sloan, sisters Tara Sue (Tony) Jones and Robin (Tracy) Asher, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dad and wife.
A memorial walk through visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 4-6 PM.
A memorial walk through visitation and service will be at Dillman-Green Funeral Home 121 E Water Street, Marengo, Indiana 47140 on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 12-2PM with service at 2 PM.
Burial will follow at the Marengo Cemetery.

Memorials may be written in care of Voss Funeral Home to Marengo Town Council Building Projects.
