Danny Turner

Danny Turner, 68 passed away on March 17, 2015 in Van Cleaves, Mississippi.
Danny was born on May 8th, 1946 to Ray L. and Iris Marie (Tolen) Turner, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Turner graduated from Seymour High School in 1964 and attended Indiana University. Danny enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and collecting old farming tractors.
Mr. Turner was retired from the Sun Herald of Gulf Port, Mississippi and previous owner of a small trucking company.

Danny was married to Carolyn Baucum of Van Cleaves, Mississippi and is survived by a sister, Lorra B. Turner of Seymour, one sister-in-law, Frederica Turner of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, three daughters, Dani L. Land of Seymour, Leniece Holman of Nashville, Tennessee, and Sonya Ferguson-Hill of Laurel, Mississippi. Also, nieces and nephews, Ed Wayt, Loretta Tillett, Joe Wayt, Roger Wayt, Larry Ray Turner, Debra Smith and Lavella Wayt.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by: his parents Ray L. Turner and Iris M. (Tolen) Turner, brothers Larry, Lanny and Michael Turner, sisters. Linda Wayt, Sue Ann Turner and nephews, Jerry Turner and Joshua Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Monday, March 23rd with visitation starting at 10 am and funeral at 11 am. Burial will be immediately following at Ackeret’s Chapel. Memorials may be written to the American Heart Association.
