Dean Allen Claycamp, 76, of Columbus, passed away September 15, 2014.
He was born August 26, 1938 in Columbus, IN. He was the son of Raymond John and Mable Magdalena (Kobbe) Claycamp.
He married Clara Anderson May 31, 1959 at Surprise Christian Church by Rev. Mervin Shaw.
Dean graduated Columbus H.S. in 1956. Dean was a member of White Creek Lutheran Church. He retired from farming and worked for Repp and Mundt Construction and Jerry Pruitt Construction. He was awarded Outstanding Conservationist in 1971 and The Q. G. Noblitt Award in 1978. Dean was a member of Whitecreek Conservation Club, Farm Bureau, Chapter 7 Antique Tractor Club, and was an avid collector of antique tractors and also toy tractors.
He is survived by his children; Linda (Dana) Reedy, Barbara (Matthew) Robertson, David (Tammy Toborg) Claycamp, and Robert (Sally Sullivan) Anderson, grandchildren; Brent (Charissa Phillips) Reedy, Stacie (Troy) Gamble, Stan Robertson, Tori Robertson, Luke Robertson, Samuel Claycamp, Kobbe Claycamp, Nicholas Anderson and Abigail Anderson, great grandchildren; Clayton Reedy, Brooklyn Reedy and Colton Gamble, brothers; Donald (Wilma) Claycamp, Lawrence (Suzy) Claycamp and Larry (Janice) Claycamp, also several nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers at birth Jerry and Terry.
Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church White Creek on Friday, September 19, 2014, at 10:30AM with Rev. Joshua Cook officiating.
Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery White Creek following the service.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel Thursday, September 18 from 3PM to 8PM and also Friday at the Church after 9AM until time of service.
