Delores M (Marsh) Gallion, 91, of Seymour, entered her heavenly home on April 6, 2021 at Autumn Trace surrounded by her loving family. Delores was a devoted member to Rockford United Methodist Church. She retired from Sylvania Osram after many years of dedicated service. Delores loved hummingbirds, traveling, sewing, and crocheting. She made the best homemade noodles. While her children were in school, she volunteered her time as PTA treasurer. Delores loved her Savior and was a Sunday School teacher and highly active in the church community.

She was born in 1929 to the late Jasper Marsh and Marie (Nicholson) Marsh in Seymour, Indiana.

On April 9, 1948, Delores married Harry R “Bob” Gallion in Indianapolis, Indiana and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1994.

She is survived by her children, Harry R. “Bob” (Joyce) Gallion Jr., Gary Thomas (Kirsten) Gallion, Janice (Leonard) Kreinop, Donna J. (Jerry) Reece and Candy (Mark) Sentz; 15 grandchildren, 25, great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William “Bill” (Linda) Marsh and sister Norma Trimpe.

Delores is preceded in death by her beloved husband, son, Jerry Lee Gallion, her parents, and a baby sister, Lisa.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 4-7 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:30 am at Voss & Sons Funeral Service. Visitation after 9am until time of service at 10:30am.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to Rockford United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.

Masks are required as well as social distancing within the building. Cards and notes of condolence are most welcome.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.

Deloris was a Awsome loving person. I will miss talking to her. So sorry I didn't get to Seymour to see her. Lord willing I will see again Some day. Give Ricky Higgins a big kiss and hug for me.

she was like a mom to my significant other Ricky Higgins. He loved her dearly. She was a beautiful Christian woman and we will sure miss her. RIP Deloris. Hope you and Ricky are catching up on old times. I love and miss you both.

It was so good to see Delores at church Sunday.She was so happy that she could be there. I used to pick her up every Sunday for church. She told me Sunday that she couldn’t have me pick her up anymore because her walker was to heavy for me to lift. I will really miss her she was a very good friend. She is with the Lord now.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Going to miss my friend. Was talking with her Sunday, and she was so happy to finally be able to come to Church. She was one of my go-to's when attempting to keep track of Rockford UMC history. She was one of the pillars of our Church and will be greatly missed.

I loved working with her. She made the best chicken noodles. She always crochet little pins for us to wear for each holiday.
