Jamie, I haven't seen you since we worked together in the shipping department at Dicksons but I want you to know that you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers since the moment i heard this was your son. My heart aches for you all and i want you to know that if you need anything at all please get in touch with me , you can send me a pm on facebook and i will send you my number (daryl-susie hackney ). I lost my grandson at almost 8 months old and it was almost the death of me so i know how heavy your heart is and if I can help you in any way please don't hesitate to ask, even if you just need someone to talk to. Dillan Shay, I know that you are living in the presence of God now, and that you have seen the face of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. You no longer can feel the evils of the world that your loved ones still live in. You no longer know about pain, sorrow, hurts, and disappointments for they do not exist in heaven. You are in a place where time is no more and Jesus is the light. In your heart, you are still the same Dillan, but now your only concentration is to do exactly what your Lord wants you to do in heaven. When I get there, please tell me all about it. You use to sit and study in your mind just how to tear apart a motor and put it back the best way. This is what you were good at and really enjoyed doing. Now you are contemplating just exactly what Jesus wants you to do in heaven, so that you will do it with all your might the very best way. I know a little bit about how beautiful heaven is. I read about it over and over and try to fathom. You have seen it now. I know it feels good there for you. But, I still know that the first on your mind is pleasing Jesus. Yes. You are the same Dillan that I have known for 20 years, always trying your best to comfort and please others. When I get to heaven, I want to hug you so tightly. I love you Dillan. I know that you will pray for not only me, but your beautiful wife, your mother and father, your wonderful brothers, your aunts, and many many others. I will see you soon. I LOVE YOU. Sincerely, Your Aunt Pat

So sorry, Jamie & Brian and family....We loved Dillan so much, whether it was the random stops at our house or stories of his and Ryne's adventures! Dillan's smile lit up the room! He was such a loving and giving young man. Ron always referred to him as our other son...Anytime we were working outside the house and he was riding his dirt bike down the road---he would stop and help us... Our hearts are truly broken! Please know that we are here for you anytime --- even if you just need an ear to listen! Great kid that we saw grow up!!! So many special little memories! So glad we got to share in a part of his life!!! His smile will never die <3 ---- I can just hear him laugh at the word periwinkle ... that's why I chose that color of candle!! Hugs & Prayers!!!

Dillan was amazing. He was my brother and will always be my brother no matter what from the day I met him I knew we would be close and it was a bond that never left we stayed close. I remember Dillan always wearing this super cool leather (I think) jacket and he always acted like he was super cool too. He exuded so much confidence! I only met him a handful of times his senior year, but he left a lasting impression as a fun guy with a good sense of humor. My condolences to his family and friends. May God comfort you all. --Kylee Shippee
