My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I always enjoyed being around Don in my younger years. He was a fun person to be with. I will never forget when I was younger and my hair was fairly long he would tease and call me Josephine, and him and your mom you both get a big laugh out of it. I always enjoy both him and your mother. I will never forget his laugh. Joe Wayt

Spent many hours out at Don's house. We were either out hunting or sitting around the kitchen table talking about hunting and guns. Rest in peace Don. Gayle Wheeler AKA Powder Horn.

So many memories of Don over the years he spent with us at covered bridge. As his nurse since the beginning, he couldn’t communicate but he had a way with his eyes to let us know what his heart was saying. He was always grateful and loved to sit and people watch and even flirt a little with some of the staff! His favorite prank was having squirt guns and spraying the staff when they least expected it. Although he had no words, I think he cared for us as much as we loved him. Thank you to his family for allowing him to be a part of our CB family. He left a hole in our hearts yesterday, but it is comforting knowing he is at peace, walking freely and with his love once again. Prayers for all of you during this time.
