Dorothy Price

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Price, 79, of Columbus, passed away on April 2 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in Jackson County to the late Albert and Faye (Guinn) Darlage. Dorothy was a 1953 graduate of Cortland High School. Dorothy married the love of her life, Louis Price Jr. on September 6, 1953, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Waymansville.
Dorothy was a dedicated employee of the Jackson County Bank for 34 plus years ending her career there as a customer service representative. She and her husband enjoyed motorcycle riding, having ridden to 44 states on their bike.
She loved spending time at the Lutheran Lake with her family and friends. Dorothy is known for making several quilts as she sat and watched tv. She was a loving wife, grandmother and great grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, children Curt (Debbie) Price, Greg (Amy) Price, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Cooper, Chad (Jill) Price, Travis (Lisa) Price and Chelsey Price (Brian Warren), and 9 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dale Darlage, and sister, Doris Ullrich.
Funeral service for Dorothy will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Jonesville on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 10:00am with Rev. Keinath officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday April 6 at Voss Funeral Home from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00am until time of service.
