Dorothy Simmons, 89, of Brownsburg, formerly of Seymour, passed away on November, 5th, at IU Health West Hospital.

Born in Jackson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Albert and Matilda (Hackman) Eggersman.

Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Borchers. She was a dedicated housewife and worked many years helping on the farm.

She is survived by her son, Jon (Dawn) Otte, grandchildren: Morgan (Josh) Brown, Mitchell (Kylie) Otte, Alysha (Tommy) Johnson, Derrick (Elysabeth) Otte, Gina (Matt) Meehan, Carl (Megan) Marcin, and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mathilda (Hackman) Eggersman; husbands, Carl Otte and Jim Simmons; daughter, Patricia Marcin; sisters; Mildred Thiele, Wilma Benter, Geneva Hoene, and Maxine Newcomb.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 11 at St. Paul Lutheran church-Borchers at 1:00 PM.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Borchers.
