Mr. Doug W. Hill, 62, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Schneck Medical Center.

Born December 30, 1951, in Seymour, IN, he was the son of Clyde and Irma (Hibner) Hill.

On March 20, 1982 in Seymour, IN he married Jackie Hubbard.

Doug was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a Self Employed Project Manager in Southern Indiana for doors and hardware and a Bus Driver for Seymour Community School Corporation. He was a volunteer for CASA and Stephen Ministry. He served on the Board of Trustees for Schneck Medical Center for 18 years. Doug was an avid New York Yankees and Chicago Bears fan. He loved IU basketball, Oakwood baseball, fishing and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by wife; children: Amy (Cory) Hutcheson and Ryan (Jenna) Hill; grandchildren: Drew and Brynn; Brothers: Scott (Sue) Hill, Bob (Janet) Hill and Ralph Hill; Sisters: Conny (Jude) Richardson and Luann (Gordon) Barker; brother-in-laws: Jeff (Traci) Hubbard, Jerrell (Karla) Hubbard, and Jay (Bethany) Hubbard; 25 nieces and nephews and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law: Gene and Selma Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday June 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ralph Blomenburg, Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez and Vicar Mark Huff officiating.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Sunday June 29, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM or at the church on Monday after 9:00 AM.

Oh Dear Jackie, Amy, Ryan & all of Doug's family & friends, I don't even know what to say....we are so shocked & saddened with this loss of such a sweet caring & loving husbasnd & father...we knew he wasn't well but kept praying for good health to return....just know that he was loved by so, so many and will be greatly missed, Doug earned his wings, what a Wonderful Angel God chose...it's the hardest on all those left behind here on earth, but the joy of reuniting in Heaven will keep you at peace...

I never saw Doug when he didn't have that little grin on his face. His sense of humor was one of a kind. I will always appreciate how he made us feel like a part of the family. Blessings to you and to all who love Doug.....
