Edith Greene, 96, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away June 14, 2022, at Seymour Crossing.
She was born December 14, 1925, in Seymour, Indiana to John and Vangie Edith (Thomas) Keller. On April 29, 1944, she married the late Donald L. Greene at Seymour Christian Church. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2007.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn “Susie” (Steve) Hildreth; two sons, Jerry (Virginia) Greene, Richard (Tammi) Greene; daughter in her heart, Kathy Gribbons; two sisters Lorene Lafferty, and her twin Eva Hinton; eight grandchildren, Vicki (Lindsay) Wade, Scott (Vickie) Hildreth, Wendy (Scott) Taylor, Jerry Greene II, April (David) Gwin, Heather Greene, Brooke (Joseph) Norris, and Tricia (Michael) Miller; and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Greene; parents, John and Vangie Keller; brothers, Donald Keller, Marvin Keller, and Morris Keller; and her sisters, Doris Keller, and Vera Terrel.
Mrs. Greene was employed with Excello Shirt Factory as a seamstress. She also was a bus driver for Seymour Community Schools, Girls Club, and the City of Seymour.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4-7PM, at Voss and Sons Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30AM at Voss and Sons Funeral service with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Seymour Christian Church or donor’s choice in care of Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
