Edward Dale Rush, 93, of Paris Crossing, passed away October 27, 2014, at his home.
He was born August 13, 1921, in Washington, IN, to the late Irene Dexter (Harrel) and Charles Edward Craner Rush.
On November 2, 1942 in Salem, Indiana, he married Pearleita May Scarlett.
Dale was a member of The Tabernacle in Seymour. He loved God, family, gardening and enjoyed a challenge as he could work and fix everything.
He was an owner- operator in the auto body shop industry. He and his wife started Dale Rush Garage, then Elm Street Body shop and then Rush Garage in Hayden
He will be missed by his wife of 71years Pearleita, children; Larry (Joann) Rush, Wilma (Donald) Baurle and Debi (Donald) Matney, grandchildren; Christian Rush, Kyle Rush, Joyce (Kevin) McCoy, Jamie Baurle, Scott (Andrea) Matney, Jennifer (Bobby) Hehe, Andrew Matney and Zachery Matney, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sister-in-law Janice Rush, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Carl Rush and 2 sisters Edith Evelyn Irene Rush and Anna Louise Rush.
Funeral service will be held at The Tabernacle, Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Larry Arrowood officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel Wednesday, October 29, from 4 to 8 PM and Thursday after 9AM at the Church. Burial will take place at Cana Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Donors Choice.
