Edwin “Ed” A. Blish

November 9, 1934 - May 30, 2016

Edwin “Ed” Blish Jr., 81 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, with his family by his side.

He was born November 9, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Edwin A. and Edith Ann (Stafford) Blish.

He married Marilyn Highbaugh on October 24, 1954, at Central Christian Church in Seymour, .

Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour. He retired from Amoco Chemical Company after 32 years of service where he worked as a buyer.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Susan (Mark) Patrick, and David (Tonja) Blish; grandchildren, David (Tiffany) Blish, Clinton (Rachel) Blish and Trevor Blish; and a great-granddaughter, Hallie Blish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Matthew Taylor Patrick and brother, James W. Blish.

Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 10:00 am with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm and Thursday after 9:00 am until time of service.

Memorial checks may be written to First Baptist Church of Seymour.

Edwin Blish, Ed as I called him was my friend for many years. We enjoyed many good times and loved fishing together. We shared family times, good times and some bad times.
