Elma Jean Shirley, 84, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Elma was born in 1936 to Max and Ruth (Roberts) Spurgeon. She married Don Shirley in 1963. She was a member of Central Christian Church and retired from Excello shirt factory and was also a waitress.
She is survived by her children, Donnie and Mark Shirley, brothers, Gerald and Jerry Spurgeon, grandchildren, Danielle Brock, Alisha Shirley, Jesseca Hoober, Nikki Shirley, Colten Shirley, 9 great grandchildren, sisters, Carolyn Acton, Marilyn Smith, Maxine Spurgeon, Margaret Branaman, and Clara Mousa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, David Shirley, a brother, Harold Spurgeon, granddaughter Ericka Shirley, and a great grandson, Jackson Houchins.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, December 30, from 12:30 until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. Funeral service will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Voss Chapel with Rev. Kevin Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 25 people at any given time.
