Emily Cummings, 70, of Seymour, Indiana passed away July 18, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born August 26, 1951, in Hyden, Kentucky, to the late Alfred and Mavie (Pennington) Joseph. On October 4, 1968, she married the love of her life, James “Bobby” Cummings.

Emily retired from Valeo. She attended the Cornerstone Community Church. She enjoyed bowling, volleyball, playing cards, and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, James “Bobby” Cummings; one son, James “Rob” (Shannon) Cummings III; one daughter, Sheila Cummings; four grandchildren, Dustin (Latrista) Humphrey, Morgan (Chad) Mason, Keslie Cummings, and Chloe Williams; seven great grandchildren, Keeleigh Cummings, Madelyn Mason, Bradey Humphrey, Maverick Mason, Makaelyn Mason, Lyrikk Cummings, and Maverlee Hall; and her siblings, Bertha Helton, Elvin Joseph, Bradley Joseph, Paul (Nola) Joseph, Nannie Howard, Mary (Ronnie) McIntosh and Sarah (David) McIntosh.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mavie (Pennington) Joseph; her siblings Alfred Joseph Jr, Martha Chandler, Bill Joseph, Marcella Shephard, Cletis Wells, Eunice Stidham, David Joseph, James Joseph, and Edward Joseph.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Saturday July 23, 2022, from 12pm until the time of the service at 2pm. Burial will follow service at Hayden Cemetery.
