Mrs. Frances Marlene Brewer, 85, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Mrs. Brewer was born in Mayking, Kentucky, to the late Millard F. and Sabina (Webb) Williams.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 8, with Bob Tolliver officiating. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin at 1 pm.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday, April 7, from 2-6 PM and Monday, April 8, from 9:30 AM until time of service.
On August 29, 1955 she married Ernest F. Brewer at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2002.
Mrs. Brewer moved to Four Corners, Indiana in 1949. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1951 and Pikeville College, in Pikeville, Kentucky, in 1953 with a degree in Business Administration. She worked at Arvins in Columbus from 1953-1957 before becoming a homemaker and mother from 1957-1972. Mrs. Brewer worked in Seymour at Burger Chef from 1972-1974 and at KFC from 1974 until retirement in 2007.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia S. (Mark) Bode; sons, David W. Brewer, Gregory S. Brewer and Jeffrey A. Brewer; grandchildren, Andy Brewer, Jessie Brewer, Nathaniel Bode and Miranda Crosley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Billy Dee Williams; and sisters, Wilma Moore, Hazel Webb and Ferne Daniels.
