Kimberly Melton-Hillenburg left a message on May 16, 2017:
My family will always remember George fondly. I know he was a great influence and mentor when my dad, Vernon Melton, came to town to begin his drywall business. Later of course they would become good friends and admirers of each others work. When I was a little girl he would come by or call and say" Is Luke there?" And I would say "My Daddy's name's not Luke!" George gave him that nickname. He will surely be missed by family and friends. Sorry for your loss, as my mother and I certainly understand. You were blessed to have him for so long. With great sympathy, Kimberly and Wanda Melton.
RANDY L. MALONE left a message on May 16, 2017:
So sorry to hear of your loss. I will forever be grateful for the experience that George provided me as a very young man in his former Seymour restaurant, "Kattie's Kitchen". I performed also every job there was to be done there and then some. I learned a great deal in that first job. It helped to shape me into the man I am today. Deepest Sympathy, Randy Malone Greenwood, IN (formerly of Seymour)
