Gilbert VanWinkle 67, of Seymour, IN passed away on Friday January 28, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center. Gilbert was born in 1954 in Salem, IN to the late Ralph Gilbert VanWinkle and Barbara Jean Leatherman Wingler.

Gilbert married the love of his life Laura Stanfield in 1976 in Seymour and she survives.

Gilbert worked for the telephone company for 31 years. He loved being with his family and his grandchildren and enjoyed watching the grandkids ride their go-karts he bought for them.

Gilbert is survived by his wife; children Greg VanWinkle and Allison VanWinkle; grandchildren Zachary VanWinkle and Kenzy VanWinkle; brother Kent (Denise) Wingler; mother-in-law Sophia Stanfield; brothers-in-law Steve (Mindy) Stanfield Brad (Kate) Stanfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 1^st, 2022, from 4-7pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Service and on Wednesday February 2^nd, 2022, from 10 am until time of service. Services will be held on February 2^nd, 2022, at 11 am at Voss and Sons Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
