Mr. Glenn Noblitt, 79 of Seymour, Indiana, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 5:30 a.m. after a long Illness. He was a fireman for 25 years and Fire Chief for 13 years, for the Seymour Fire Department. He retired August 25, 1984 from the Seymour Fire Department, to start Noblitt Excavating. He was born at the Peter Switch homestead on November 27, 1935, the son of the late Archibold and Wilma Noblitt. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Nancy Waldkoeter, 4 children, Julia Mohr (John), Eva Auleman (David), Beth Linnemeier (Joe) and Nathan Noblitt (Amy), 9 grandchildren, Amy Cockerham, Lauren Earl, Isaac Auleman, Madison and Chloe Auleman, Cassidy Linnemeier, Christopher Frazier, Jeremiah and Daniel Noblitt and 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Max and Neal Noblitt, and a sister, Sharon Baurle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Glenn was a wonderful husband, a great father and was very devoted to his family. He was known for his passion of building Kentucky long rifles, being an outdoorsman and community service. He enjoyed going squirrel and deer hunting with his muzzleloader he had crafted. He and his wife reopened Rocksey Skating Rink in 2007 and loved the ministry with children there.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 30th. at the Peter Switch Church of the Nazarene (9528 N. Co. Rd. 760 E.) from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 1st., at the First Church of the Nazarene “The Point” (311 Myers Street) after 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Keith Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview. Family asks that all memorials be designated to Provisions, through the Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
