Gracie Mae Hinton

Gracie Mae (Hobson) Hinton, 84 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at home.

She was born December 3, 1930, in Morristown, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Henley Mandel Hobson and Mrs. William (Evaline Lakins) Engleking.

She married James M. Hinton on November 12, 1957, in Seymour, Indiana, and he passed away September 1, 1997.

Gracie enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gracie is survived by her children, Beverly (Jay Clark) Havron, James S. Hinton, and Mark A. (Christie)Hinton; four grandchildren, Christopher (Summer) Havron, Ryan Hinton, Brittany Hinton, and James Hinton; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Jo Hinton and Westen Allen Havron; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Henley Mandel “HM” Hobson and Bobby James Hobson, four sisters, Nora Love Hobson, Thelma Jean Hobson, Shirley Ann Bush, and Dorothy Lee Hobson.

Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Frank Ira officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
