Mr. Ivan M. Bridgewater, III, 41, of Seymour, passed away on December 9, 2017, at Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on November 6, 1976, in Seymour, the son of Ivan M. Bridgewater Jr and Debra J. (Kelly) Alexander.
He formerly worked for Impact Forge before joining the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was so proud to become a union member at the KTP where he felt as though he was family with his co- workers. He was a great mentor and always encouraging his younger co-workers and friends. Ivan was an inspiration to work with and he always smiled and had a positive attitude.
He had a great love for his family and desire to be the best husband and father. He enjoyed the ocean, traveling, concerts, and gaming. He had a great respect for the history of his predecessors.
After dating for five years, on October 8, 2012, he married the love of his life, Megan K. White, in Brown County state park in the Abe Martin Lodge Amphitheater.
Ivan is survived by his lovely wife of five years, Megan, his son, Ivan M. Bridgewater IV; his mother; Debra Alexander and father; Ivan Bridgewater, Jr, stepmother, Diana Bridgewater; maternal grandmother, Leona Kelly; brother, David Bridgewater; sisters, Nicolette Banks, and Carina (Brad) Cole; two sisters-in law, Chrystal Lesage, and Kasey White; Father and Mother-in-law Kelsie White, Sr and Barbara (Fraley). He has six nieces; Lacey Mousa, Jasmine Banks, Deja Banks, Taylor Cole, Brooklyn Cole and Brooklyn Reynolds, and three nephews; Jeffery Cole, Kyle Hileman and Brenden Imlay.
Family and friends may gather at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 12 noon until time of the Life Celebration service on Wednesday.
A Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral Service.

I always talked about him saying that in his slow voice lol drove me crazy but now I would listen to it a thousand more times!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Megan and little Ivan!!! I don’t know his family but I worked with Ivan at Ford and he was always super sweet and always had a smile he will definitely be missed!!!

It was a great privilege to be Ivan's Supervisor during my time at Ford. He was a very talented Electrician and dedicated husband and father. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family & friends.

Ivan and Megan came by house many times. It was so easy to see how much he loved Megan. Then they were blessed with a son. No finer man have I ever met. A very proud father and a best friend to his wife. My prayers go to you Megan and little Ivan.

Ivan was one of the coolest, funniest guys you'd come across. I transferred to KTP from Michigan and the skilled trades personnel were pretty much the only ones who had the greatest welcomes. If I had any questions, Ivan would have an answer or track one down for me. He'd tease me whenever I had a hard time tracking down an issue in the press but would assure me that I'd get it over time. He always spoke of his wife and son and how much he loved them. He'd speak of vacations when he got back and would always have the brightest smile when speaking of family. Ivan is now looking down on us all in a better place. I pray for his family's strength and closure.

"Go for M O C 3"...... Made me laugh every time he come over the radio with that!! You will be missed brother.

No words can express the sorry we are feeling. Ivan was a wonderful son and the great man he had grown into. It was such a pleasure to see him with his son and wife he loved them so much. RIP my son. God took you to soon.

RIP Ivan. Such a passionate, strong, well thought, inspired, motivated, hard working man. He was a wonderful person, an amazing dad, a great friend. This passing will be such a loss to his family and community. We love you and will miss you always. :heart:

My heart aches for your loss...Ivan was a wonderful husband, father and son....<3

My family and I have been devastated by the lost of the most wonderful man I have ever known. He was killed at the Ford Motor Plant in Louisville Ky. Not only was he my son-in-law but a wonderful provider and Daddy to my 2yr old grandson. My daughter and grandsons life have been forever changed. So many prayers are needed for my family and this wonderful man whom I was proud to call my son...our hearts are broken.
