Mr. Jack D. Hill, 88, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born in Seymour to the late Vance and Anita Hill.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 4 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. A private graveside service will be conducted.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service.
He was the owner of the Cake Box Bakery and Hill’s Bakery until he retired to Ft. Myers, Florida. He then worked at Guardian Title before fully retiring. He moved back to Seymour in 1998. He loved his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known for saying, “The customer is always right. If you treat them special, they will honor your business.”
Jack is survived by his daughter, Debra (Willie) Reinhart; stepson, Rodney (Charlene) Farrow; grandchildren, Brian (Theresa) McIntosh, Tiffany (John) Bruce, Brent McIntosh, Drew Reinhart; step-grandchildren, Jon (Adrienne) Farrow; great-grandchildren, Dylan Reinhart Griffin Eggers, Charlie Bruce, Betsy Bruce, Dustyn McIntosh; sister, Jean Nichter; lifelong best friend and cousin, Tom Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Hill; daughter, Susan A. McIntosh; stepdaughter, Marsha Farrow; step-granddaughters, Jennifer Farrow and Amy Farrow.
Memorials may be written to First Baptist Church Christmas Basket Fund or Schneck Medical Center Hospice, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
