Dan Montgomery left a message on July 2, 2022:
Uncle Jim was always one of my favorite people. He taught me a lot and was very patient. Often the two of us were paired to cultivate crops, spray weed killer and fertilizer, harvest wheat, bail hay and straw, plow, disc and plant. In my teen years I also worked with him at the saw mill and build their house. I was his primary helper for roofing and drywall. He even took me squirrel and rabbit hunting. He was always kind, even when I screwed up, and boy was I fed well by Aunt LaVonne! I recall many times making homemade ice cream with him, and he loved my Mom’s fudge. Fond memories. Love you both.
