James R. Findley, 68, of Seymour, passed away on September 13, 2021, at his home.

He was born in 1953, son of the late Robert and Marguerite (Von Fange) Findley. On November 2, 1975, he married Carleen Foist at Peter’s Switch Church and she survives.

Mr. Findley was a dairy farmer for many years. He retired from Spray Sand and Gravel and Farm Bureau Co-op.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Leigha (Kyle) McKinney, Travis Findley; 4 grandchildren, Ellie Findley, Madison Findley Trent Traub and TJ Traub; brother Robert D. Findley; sisters Marilyn Miller and Cathy Washbush.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers David Findley and Gary Findley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at Voss Chapel at 2pm.

Visitation will be on Monday at 1pm at Voss Chapel until time of service.

Burial will take place at Reddington Christian Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to American Liver Foundation, American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.

Jim was a good man. When he was my father in law we would fish and watch sports together. Jim knew a lil bit about alot of things and I learned quite a bit from him on the many projects we worked on. He was a good grandpa to my two boys and I know they will miss him terribly. To Carleen, Leigha and Travis I'm so sorry for your loss. Many hugs to you all.
